Virgin Galactic, created and owned by British visionary entrepreneur Richard Branson, is the world's first spaceline. Its unique spacecraft is modelled after SpaceShipOne, winner of the Ansari XPrize competition in October 2004. SpaceShipTwo, unveiled in January 2008, is developed by the same team, led by Burt Rutan in California. The roll-out of the White Knight Two took place on 28 July 2008.
